Within the healthcare organizations setting, stress is a prevalent issue and remains a significant challenge facing the industry as it affects individuals’ well-being and functioning. There are several theories of stress, but this paper will address the Theory of Cognitive Appraisal developed by Richard Lazarus in 1966.
