Population- and community-level health data can be critical in helping health care professionals identify specific populations or health concerns that need to be addressed. This type of data can help identify areas that would be good for pursuing health promotion strategies, intervention strategies, or educational programs. By engaging with the data that is available publicly and through places of practice, health care professionals and organizations can more effectively and efficiently help improve the health of the populations and communities they serve.

This assessment will be based around obtaining and reviewing community and public health data in order to determine a health need that should be addressed. The focus will be on how you use data to determine health care concerns, communities, and populations to proactively treat.
