Were the same questions asked to every participant?
Was the data analyzed in an appropriate manner related to the methodology of the study?
Were the findings effectively summarized, with good use of excerpts from the data and strong supporting arguments?
Were thick descriptions of the data used to support the findings?
Do the researchers’ clinical and methodologic experience enhance confidence in the findings and their interpretation?
Do the study findings appear to be trustworthy—do you have confidence in the truth value of the results?
Does the study contribute any meaningful evidence that can be used in nursing practice or that is useful to the nursing discipline?
