Hello,
I need help with this task, please look over the two nursing diagnosis below and help me with finding two interventions (3 and 4) and why they would be a good fit for the community. Please look over the nursing diagnosis and add the interventions (3 and 4) along with why would be a good fit for the community. Thank you!
Priority Diagnosis (2)
1. Altered health-seeking behaviors r/t an inadequate number of medical facilities, funding, staffing, and resources for the community to receive care in a timely manner.
2. Ineffective coping r/t lack of local support systems, lack of mental health facilities willing/able to take/help clients needing mental health aid, as evidenced by approximately 32 people per 100,000 committing suicide, approximately 19% higher than the national average.
1. We found our community lacked the appropriate number of resources, including actual facilities, medical staff, resources, and funding. This causes people to delay seeking treatment for injuries and preventative or chronic diseases.
2. We found that just in the span of two years’ time, our community’s mental health has been suffering as approximately 32 people per 100,000 people have committed suicide, which is 41% higher than the documented two years prior, and 19% higher than the national average. We attribute this to a lack of mental health services in both our medical facilities as well as our school systems.

Why is this a good fit for your community?
1. There are numerous examples of community-based health programs that engage with local communities to improve health and reach those with limited resources or no healthcare. With funding from the community, the city, and state/federal government, these programs identify community health issues and address them specifically. These multidisciplinary teams can address a variety of needs to people who are uninsured, mentally ill, or facing economic hardships. One way they do this is by having a mobile clinic that can go into these high-need areas and provide health information, perform screenings, and connect residents to essential health and social services.
2. Local programs such as Communities That Care (CTC) implement community-wide prevention planning and implementation systems in children (grades 6 – 9). These programs address youth substance use, violence, delinquency, depression, suicide, and other mental health outcomes. Addressing these prominent issues early is crucial to shaping young children’s lives before they can become heavily affected by mental health issues. By providing early education, mental health benefits were provided for these children lasting into adulthood. These kids showed increased likelihood of lifetime abstinence from alcohol and drug use, increased abstinence from antisocial behavior, and decreased lifetime incidence of violence (Castillo, 2019).
