CASE STUDY:
Mrs. Megan Baker, 76-year-old female diagnosed with poorly controlled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for 21 years, had until now been living at home with her husband. Three days ago, Mrs. Baker was brought by ambulance to the emergency department when her husband noticed she had begun “acting strangely and talking like she was drunk”. Now stable, she has been admitted to your unit with the diagnosis of a right sided Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA).
