Mrs Chan lives in a residential aged care facility. Mrs Chan has several medical conditions listed below.

You are on duty and doing patient care rounds of a night shift and find Mrs Chan on the floor in her private room dressed in a night gown. The last thing Mrs Chan remembers is getting up to the toilet and to fill the vase with water several hours ago, she said that she fell on her way to the toilet. She states she has pain in her right hip area and the right leg is rotated internally. Mrs Chan has a large piece of broken glass from the vase in her left thigh.

Mrs Chan’s nightgown is wet with urine and there is a pool of urine on the floor.

Old compression fractures of her spine due to osteoporosis and
