Three year old Jake has just been diagnosed with Otitis Media and has had high fevers with his illness. You ae working for Telehealth Ontario and a mother call in to tell you that the child’s temperature is over 40 C and that he started to “shake” and didn’t respond to her. The shaking only lasted a few minutes and Jake seems fine now, just sleepy. You tell her to go the hospital for further evaluation.
