reply with your opinion to these two

reply with your opinion to these two discussions 1- In response to role of the information is “the technical responsibility of the informatician is to manage the component design . . .. so understanding the component model and integration strategy is essential” (Nelson & Staggers, 2018, p. 75). The informatician also must master all integration and component understanding as he/she will be expected to troubleshoot issues that arise. Additionally they need to be well versed in the all encompassing aspects as to have the intuition to teach others and answer any questions. Pertaining to open source systems defined as “defined as software whose source code is made available to users, who then may be able to examine, change, and even redistribute the code according to the software’s open source license” (Nelson & Staggers, 2018, p. 76). I perceive troubles in this setup as with numerous different users, one can assume more errors are feasible and may not be identified quickly as opposed to a system with fewer users that can be traced quickly and easier. Juxtaposed to that idea, an OSS can be more reliable and beneficial for users as there should be more highly experienced users in the network that can quickly be contacted to come in and solve the issue. Contrasting this with SMART which is defined as “a health IT platform based on core services that allows apps to be . . .. easily and presented to apps constructed for specific purposes” 2- The informatician’s role in designing and implementing the EHR technical infrastructure “…is to manage the component design and implementation life cycle, so understanding the component model and integration strategy is essential.” (pg. 75). So, the informatician must have a deep understanding of the EHR and be able to teach others how to use it, and answer any questions that someone may have about it. The informatician must also understand clinical data repository. Clinical data repository is the most essential component of the EHR, and as the informatician, you must have a very good understanding of this aspect. There are many positive and negative aspects of an open source system. Some positive aspects of this approach include a more secure, bug free system, which may avoid the risk of hackers or glitches within the system. Some negative aspects of this approach include confusion within the system, since it is open for many people to contribute to the codes. I see this as a higher risk of technical errors, though it says it is more secure and free of bugs. After looking at both the positive and negative aspects, I think that the benefits outweigh the negative aspects. I think the open source systems can benefit many healthcare organizations because it has a variety of individuals that can contribute to it, and this can help with many specific user needs. The SMART approach’s goal is “…to provide a health IT platform based on core services that allows apps to be substituted easily.
