Introduction- provide a brief overview of the topic and describe best practices for providing care for Indigenous clients with gestational diabetes. 2. Case study: One fictitious patient (women of age 22-35), our case study scenario: should be in dot point form. The case study scenario should include your Indigenous client’s background and history. (e.g. name, tribal affiliation, age, religion, next of kin, family support, where they live, employment/schooling, medications, medical and surgical history, condition prior to needing care/intervention, cultural needs (necessary NMBA codes), other, etc – while your case study scenario does not require all of these points/ or may include additional points – study scenario has to flow and make logical sense and be built on evidence-based research. 3. Topic Information: describe the pathophysiology and prevalence in Indigenous communities and possible treatment including drug therapy for gestational diabetes in indigenous client 4. Interventions – Nursing or midwifery interventions and drug therapy: should be researched and evidenced-based for the specific client that we have created. 5. Cultural Safety – information about Cultural Safety: should be aligned with and relevant to the Indigenous client in your case study scenario and include how you would personally apply Cultural Safety to your nursing practice.
