Reply back to this post I would choose to get LASIK, if I had to. Reason being, I’m bad about losing things. My grandma taught me that glasses are way too expensive to be losing. I’m also not too crazy about putting things in my eyes so contacts are out of the question. Over the years, technology dealing with LASIK has become more advanced. They used to use a blade to make the incision on the cornea. With the advancements, they now use a laser that is quicker and a lot more precise. The procedure first begins by the doctor measuring the eye. The measurements go to the laser, so it’ll know which corrections to make precisely. The eye is then numbed so the patient will only feel slight pressure. The patient then lies under the laser. The laser cuts a flap directly on the eye. The flap is then lifted, and the laser makes the necessary corrections to the eye by widening the cornea so light can be refracted the way it should be. It’s a quick and easy procedure. They’re then given protective shades so as to not bump the eye and cause any damage.
