Question: Provide two suggested strategies or interventions to assist your peer in further developing the competency they identified in their initial post. Scenario: The competency I felt was most improved and developed during my clinical experience was performing physical assessments as an RN. I am used to working under a different scope of practice as a Hospital Corpsman, and, while we perform head to toe assessments, they are usually framed differently than those practiced as an RN, so it was initially a nerve wracking experience attempting to do a proper nursing head to toe on my patients. With the help of my fellow students and my instructor showing me certain tips and tricks, and working with me to run through the assessments verbally prior to conducting one, I was better able to understand and perform each step of the assessment over the course of the weekend, and I feel much more confident in my ability to do so in the future.
