Reply to these two discussions 1-Patients who suffer from type two diabetes are at risk for a variety of different situations such as HHNS. Type two diabetes management is significantly important not only in the clinical setting, but in home management as well. Management of type two diabetes poses significant problems as the mismanagement of type two diabetes can often lead to a variety of different medical issues such as hypertension and others related to the cardiovascular system. The mismanagement of diabetes due to a lack of education can often put these at risk for hospitalization or readmission to the hospital. Patients with type two diabetes are at an increased risk for infection and improving their lifestyles by implementing an individualized, safe, and healthy diet as well as implementing individualized exercise programs can lead to significant improvement in the overall knowledge of health. If these patients have an understanding on how to manage their type two diabetes, and what can possibly occur if there is little to no management, will provide them with motivation to implement an individualized care program that treats their body in a holistic approach, treating the body as a whole. Many patients who have type two diabetes may not have the proper education on how to care for themselves and manage their care long-term. Individualized educational programs for type two diabetes are significantly important for the proper management of a person type two diabetes diagnosis. 2-Emergency nurses work in one of the busiest and most stressful departments in a hospital and, as such, may experience burnout more often than nurses working in other nursing units. Emergency nurses are highly susceptible to burnout due to continual exposure to traumatic events, varying work schedules, violence directed at staff, and in recent times, due to the stressors of the COVID-19 pandemic. As ER nurses face these compounding factors, they may start feeling disengaged and detached, which are the first warning signs of nursing burnout. When the issue is not addressed through proper self-care and adequate recovery from work, nursing burnout can lead to feelings of cynicism, hopelessness, and even depression. For patients, nurse burnout can directly impact their health. The most dangerous risk associated with burnout is a decrease in the quality of patient care and patient safety. Understanding the effects of nurse burnout may help contribute to hospitals employing burnout reduction strategies for nurses such as through wage increases, professional mobility, stress reduction and opportunities for learning and leadership. In addition to preventative actions taken by employers, supervisors, and managers, understanding nurse burnout has the potential to contribute to educating nurses to take extra precautions on their own to avoid work related fatigue.
