What is the medication/healing practice and why
What is the medication/healing practice and why is it of interest to you? I am very interested in many of the Indigenous healing practices but one that I really want to try is a sweat. In the Indigenous culture, sweats are a cleansing and healing ritual that are done in a sweat lodge. The ceremony is held in a dome, where they pour water onto heated rocks. This is meant to relieve the body of negativity and toxins that might imbalance our lives. During a sweat they may also add sacred herbs to smoke throughout the ceremony which is so beneficial to our bodies and mind. Sweats are said to be very healing and can promote healthy living in individuals. They can cleanse our body, mind and soul and you should come out feeling refreshed, detoxified and calm. This healing practice interests me as I have always wanted to try something different to heal my pain and grief that I hold inside. I have heard that this ritual is super beneficial to people who are grieving and who are going through a hard time. I would love to try a more natural way to heal myself and detoxify my body and mind. I also really enjoy heat and warmth so I feel this would be an amazing healing tool for myself and many others who are looking for something new. I can’t wait to go to a sweat lodge and learn more about Indigenous healing. 1.what is a good response the the discussion post above SCIENCE HEALTH SCIENCE NURSING NURS 202
