Children love sweets and often find it
Children love sweets and often find it difficult to keep their hands off of brownies and candies. However, in states that allow medicinal or recreatinoal marijuana, those sweets may not be what they seem. Sinice 2014, Colorado has seen an increase of 150% of children exposed to marijuana through edibles. Symptoms for marijuana exposure in children include lethargy, vomiting, or agitation. While the numbers of children exposed to marijuana are still low, 163 documented cases between 2009 and 2015 they are still cause for concern. In 2015, Colorado required marijuana produicts to be sold in childproof packaging to help reduce the number of children exposed to marijuana. Many marijuana edibles come in forms that are appealing to children (ie. gummy bears, candies, brownies, etc), do you feel these types of productions should be discontinued due to increase in the children who are accidently exposed to edible marijuana? Why or why not?Should parents whose children have been exposed to edible marijuana be charged a with crime? Defend your position.Given the impact marijuana has on childrens development (based on the reading) what should be done to prevent childrens access/use? SCIENCE HEALTH SCIENCE NURSING SWOT nil
