After the completion of our cinema class, I want you to imagine that you have to step up and teach three weeks of this class. What films would you show and why? Which section of the class would each one be a part of? Sections: Narrative, Mise-en-scene, Cinematography,Acting, Editing, Sound. The only restrictions I’m putting on your selections are that they can’t be films you saw in class this semester ( Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Prestige, Lady Bird, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Singin’ in the Rain, Children of Men, The Social Network, Us, The Graduate, Arrival, Dazed and Confused, Who Framed Roger Rabbit ) you can’t choose more than one option per section (i.e. one film for narrative and two for cinematography is a no go) and they can’t all be modern films (meaning that at least one has to be from before the 1980s) and must be american made.
