please provide intext citation if needed and reference with APA format 7th edition please Instructions: You are a newly appointed Retirement Residence Manager for a small Retirement Residence. The residence has been in operation for over 10 years, and you are fortunate to have staff who have been part of the team for at least five or more years. One of the first steps you plan to take, is to review the most recent RHRA Inspection, Complaint’s history and any other regulatory inspections to ensure you have a good picture of the history of the home. After your first couple of weeks, it’s become clear to you that there are insufficient amounts of audits occurring, as evidenced by the most recent inspection reports. You are also becoming concerned that you have found no evidence of a Continuous Quality Improvement Committee for quite some time as meeting minutes and action plans are very limited. The most critical area of concern is the Food Service Department and the Health and Wellness Department. There have been numerous cold food complaints, and the RHRA has conducted several visits in this regard. During the last inspection, the Health and Wellness Department was found in non-compliance concerning completing the Full Assessment and developing Plans of Care. The Full Assessments were not being completed within the required time frame, and the Plan of Care was not based on the needs and preferences of the residents and was not being updated every six months. You are aware that your Home is on the list for a return visit from the RHRA, and you decide you need to get involved as soon as possible to start working with your team on audits and potential compliance plans. The Food Service Department is not your area of expertise, but you know the RHA and are clear on the Resident’s Bill of Rights and Resident Satisfaction. Having this knowledge will assist you in your action plan. Part A (minimum 500 words): Describe the processes and/or steps you and the management team should take (i.e. interviews, review of specific documentation, audits etc.), to ensure the facility is compliant with EACH of the following sections of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority – Plain Language Guide. a. Food Preparation (section 20 in RHRA – PLG) b. Provision of Meals (section 40 in RHRA – PLG) c. Resident’s Rights d. Assessments and Care Plans Explain WHY each of the above sections are important. Part B (no word minimum): make an audit tool to be used by a member of the Management Team to ensure ongoingcompliance in the above 4 areas (hint: this should look like a ‘check-sheet’ of requirements BUT remember to consider the purpose of an audit – comments/corrective action/follow-up). Note: The difference between Part A and B is that part A is the “process,” whereas Part B is the “tool” that will be used to confirm the process is in place and working. Use your class content and reading assignments to aid you in the completion of this assignment.
