Create an audio/visual presentation that will describe a healthcare education

As the unit director of telemetry medical surgical unit, these decisions unfortunately fall into my hands. These two options should be weighed heavily because they are both inconvenient and costly in their own ways. As a unit director the goal in this case scenario is to go with the most cost effective approach. As well as thinking about my staff and how they would feel traveling far away for a training class. 150 miles is over a two hour drives for the participants as well as $300 a person which would be a minimum of $1500 and you have to put into account of lodge and board. Seemingly renting a space and providing a teacher for $1000 plus accounting for supplies I think in total it would end up being less money than having nurses travel. The way to organize an event as such I would assume is reaching out to organizations like the American Heart Association that normal organizes and teaches the teachers on how to teach course as such. This organization might be able to point you in the directions of what is needed to be bought and this from there on out would be useful for future needs where you wouldn’t have to keep rebuying it for future incidences. Although it might strip the budget for the year it is important to make sure for the years to come you wouldn’t run into the same problem. Although it hurts the besieged this year, it would be something that would continuously hurt the budget if we traveled our staff every time. From personal experiences especially with recertification courses, in my hospital they offer them on campus and schedule it for you. They keep a list of the nurses on the floor who need their recertification courses to keep their eligibility to work. As a unit director I should know those things in this scenario. I think it is a great way to keep that information off of the nurses and their problems it id important for higher management to keep track so that they are aware and in control of the eligibility due to recertification needs for staff. Although the budget will be consumed with the recertification process for the hospital, it will in the end be a good investment so staff doesn’t have to travel and we shouldn’t have to spend so much money on supplies the next time recertification needs are an issue. Going forward, having someone within the facility to be certified to teach and purchase the supplies for the recertification course would be ideal in order to save money going forward with implementation in the most long term cost effective way. feedback in 140 words with intext citation and references
