TASK 1 Scenario Jose Fernandez, a 42-year-old man resides in a care facility designed to support individuals with disabilities. Jose is a charismatic and friendly person who has been paralysed from the waist down since a diving accident that caused a spinal cord injury five years ago. Despite his physical limitations, Jose maintains a positive outlook on life and is actively engaged in recreational activities offered at the facility. Mark Thompson, Jose’s former partner has maintained contact with Jose even after their relationship ended prior to Jose moving into the care facility. Mark and Jose have started spending weekends together at Mark’s apartment in the city. Lately, you have noticed bruises on Jose, particularly in areas not prone to accidents. The injuries appear to be intentionally inflicted, such as finger marks or patterns that suggest grabbing or squeezing. Jose has become withdrawn and anxious, even appearing on edge at times. During a recent scheduled service visit, he was crying beforehand and extremely sad.
