Type of Chronic and Dermatological Wounds: Chronic wounds occur because of diabetes, PAD, PVD and prolonged pressure on bony prominences. There are different types of chronic wounds that include pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, or diabetic wounds. Pressure ulcers are known localized skin injury that is found on bony prominences such as the sacrum, coccyx, hips or heels due to prolonged pressure. Pressure ulcers are categorized in stages 1-4. Stages 1 is when there is erythema of the skin, stage 2 is when erythema with loss of partial thickness occurs, stage 3 full thickness ulcers which may include subcutaneous fat, stage 4 is full thickness ulcer with the involvement of the muscle and/or bone (Nagle et al., 2023). The most common wound includes venous ulcers which are known to be shallow wounds. They are usually located in the medial supramalleolar of the lower extremities. In comparison, arterial wounds are known to be deeper wounds (exposing tendon and/or bone) in the extremities. Lastly, diabetic ulcers are usually found in the lower extremities such as in the toes. Different Wound Debridement Techniques: Several debridement types include autolytic, mechanical, enzymatic, biological and surgical (Manna et al., 2023). Autolytic is a natural process that works on necrotic non-infected wounds. Mechanical debridement is a wet-to-dry wound irrigation which is used for both acute and chronic wounds with large necrotic tissue. Enzymatic is a selective debri
