Date: In this section you learned about some general rules and guidelines to stay safe and prevent injury. However, every sport or activity has its own set of official or unofficial guidelines to keep you safe when participating. Directions: For this assignment, choose a sport or activity that you enjoy or are interested in learning more about. Make a list of EIGHT rules and guidelines to help you keep safe. Explain why each guideline aids in the prevention of injury. Feel free to do some online research if needed. Some examples are found below. Walking: When walking or jogging in traffic, run on the LEFT side of the road so you are facing oncoming traffic. This allows you to see oncoming traffic and get out of the way quickly if necessary. Cycling: When cycling, obey traffic laws and ride on the RIGHT side of the road, with traffic, Not obeying traffic laws is dangerous and could lead to a collision with a car. Skating: Wear a helmet and knee and elbow pads. The helmet will protect your head in a fall. The knee and elbow pads will help prevent cuts and bruises if you fall. You can type your rules and guidelines below or directly into the electronic form within the course (if provided). M CB
