As an HIM data quality analyst, you know that information

Read each point of the plan (provided below). Determine whether each point meets the minimum federal guidelines for health, safety and/or nutrition. If the point does meet the guideline, explain why. If the point does not meet the guideline, explain both why it does not meet the guideline and what measures need to be taken to ensure that it does meet the guideline. The first point of the plan has been filled out as an example for you. Type the answers in the space provided below each point. Answers should be written in paragraph form. Health, Safety and Nutrition Plan for an In-Home Daycare Staff to Student Ratios: There will be 2 children under age 1, 2 children that are age 3 and 1 child that is age 5 attending the daycare, for a total of 5 children. Two staff members will supervise the children at all times. Yes, this part of the plan meets the minimum federal guidelines. In a mixed age group of children that contains infants and toddlers, the suggested ratio is 6 children to 1 adult (6:1) with no more than two children under 24 months included in the group. In this instance, there will be only 5 children to two adults (5:2), which not only meets, but surpasses the federal guideline. Methods of Discipline: Children over age 1 will be given a short time out for misbehaving. Frequent misbehavior or a serious offense, such as physically harming another child, will be punished with a swat on the bottom. Oral Hygiene: All children will be assisted by an adult in brushing their teeth after each meal. Feeding of Infants: All infants will be fed baby formula, even if a parent supplies human milk to feed the child. This will eliminate the time and expense required to store human milk properly. Use of Cribs: There is only one crib available, so both infants will be placed in the crib to sleep. The crib will also be used as a temporary play space for the infants if the adults need to momentarily step away to help another child with something. Outdoor Play Area: A fence has been installed around the backyard, so it can be used as an outdoor play area. It was installed in accordance with local regulations for fences, and it has one gate in it with a self-latching closure that is designed so children cannot open it.
