I found it very interesting to see that 40% of the working nurses in 2014 graduated in the 1970s. Retirement-age nurses are holding strong to their well-deserved titles, as they should! But why does it feel like now, especially since the pandemic, that our hospitals are short-staffed and suffering immensely with bare minimum staffing? Thousands of nurses have left in droves due to the way they were treated, and the lack of support from the companies they worked for! A lot of nurses left staff jobs to travel, as did I because the money was good. Now that the money for travel has decreased, many corporations are not allowing nurses to return to work for them.
