John is a 70 year old male

John is a 70 year old male living in the Rosedale care facility. John had stroke about 5 years ago which left him with left sided weakness. John was very active and a socially interactive person before having the stroke. He loved to participate in all the activities of the facility and he would go out every alternate Friday to RSL club to have a catch up with his friends. John could go independently before having a stroke. After having his stroke, John’s condition does not permit him to go out of the facility independently. Facility management decided to provide a carer to accompany John every Friday. John now has an electric scooter which he uses to go to the RSL club. Carers have reported that John does not listen and drinks a lot. Sometimes John gets quite intoxicated and on one occasion, the worker had to assist John to throw up when he returned from the club. 1) Do you think John has right to attend RSL club?
