LOCATION: Outpatient, Hospital PHYSICIAN: Morton Monson, MD EXAMINATION OF: Ultrasound of both lower extremities CLINICAL SYMPTOMS: Bilateral edema ULTRASOUND OF BOTH LOWER EXTREMITIES: FINDINGS: Ultrasound examination of the deep venous system of the lower extremities shows no evidence of a deep venous thrombosis. Bilateral posterior tibial, greater saphenous, popliteal, and femoral veins are patent with no evidence of thrombus. The distal portion of both superficial femoral veins is not well seen because of patient body habitus but shows no gross evidence of DVT (deep vein thrombosis). Report the ultrasound service provided by Dr. Monson.
