Part 3: Simulated demonstration To complete this part of the assessment, you must participate in a practical activity that demonstrates your ability to respond to an emergency situation to sector standards. This demonstration must be completed at least once. The Workplace Supervisor or Assessor must observe at least one occasion. This demonstration may be completed in one of the following locations: • In a regulated early childhood education and care service or school setting. How you will be assessed: You should refer to the list of criteria outlined below to understand what you need to demonstrate. This outlines the assessment criteria used to assess your performance. Demonstration – Emergency evacuation Note: Note: If you have completed the cluster CHCECE055 and CHCECE056, please speak with your TAFE teacher/assessor before completing this section of the assessment. The purpose of this demonstration is for you to demonstrate responding to an emergency situation. For this task, you must: • demonstrate responding to an emergency situation on a least one occasion • complete the emergency evacuation reflection (Table 6) Assessment location: (speak with your TAFE Assessor to determine the best time and location for this assessment) Assessment must include the following equipment/resources: • educators, children or peers to complete the simulation • access to relevant emergency evacuation procedure and plan • resources related to the evacuation (e.g. whistle, rope, vest, attendance records, phone, contact list etc.) You may access the simulated service called Little.ly (long URL https://littlely.eduworks.com.au/) to find relevant policies on the ‘Educator Hub’.
