Task 2: This task consists of three parts: a plan for a health education initiative in your local area. the implementation. and evaluation of the initiative. Part 1: Your plan will explore the relationship between theoretical models of health education and health behaviour, and their impact in terms of eliciting changes in health behaviour Your explanation of the impact will use the evidence you have gathered from health education models used by services and campaigns in your local area. You will use these to develop a substantiated and SMARTER plan for a health education initiative you are going to carry out. Your plan will include the following sections: Introduction: summary of the local health issue you are trying to address In your initiative including:(covid 19) 1.Why you have chosen this health issue to focus about to the health priorities of your local area 2.A summary of the results of primary and secondary research you carried out to assess the importance of this issue in your local area. This will include pattern and trend information on national and local demographics, health behaviors, and practices. 3. A summary of the results of a survey you have conducted to demonstrate the need for this campaign in your local area 4. Any evidence from previous (or current) health education campaigns or initiatives that support your decision to focus on this issue 5.Rationale: A justification of the theoretical model(s) you have chosen to use in implementing your campaign, using comparisons between models used in other national and local campaigns. 6. Aims of the initiative: These should be SMART and cleared to improving the health and wellbeing of the local population in terms of health behaviors, and/or beliefs. 7.Risks and Opportunities: What are the challenges that may be faced in implementing your initiative and achieving your objective? What do you see are the potential benefits for the service, service users and/or ,wider community through your initiative. 8. The initiative: What strategies will be used to achieve your aims, taking into account the risks and opportunities identified? What evidence do you have that these strategies have been and will be effective and how will they translate to achieving your overall aims Part 2: Carry out a planned, practical local health education initiative using a theoretical model of health education. Your initiative will need to be observed by a health and/or social care practitioner. You can provide photographic or video recording evidence of the initiative and/or witness testimony (signed by your workplace supervisor or tutor/assessor) to confirm it has been completed. During your initiative, you will need to collect feedback from the service users taking part, to contributors your evaluation of the success of the initiative. Part 3 : . Your evaluation will also include an evaluation of your role and the role of others contributing to the initiative, as well as forward planning for improvement and recommendations for future health campaigns on a larger scale. Your conclusions must incorporate feedback from service users and practitioner(s) who took part in your initiative, and how you will respond to this in the design and implementation of future health education campaigns.
