What would be a response to this

What would be a response to this scenario? Chronic sinusitis is a common condition that affects the nose and sinuses. Chronic sinusitis is a chronic inflammatory disorder, as opposed to acute sinusitis, which is an infectious disease (Bergmark & Pynnonen, 2017). The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery’s clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) include recommendations for diagnostic and treatment procedures. The emphasis, however, is on accurate diagnosis because treatment management will vary depending on the cause and whether it is acute or chronic. Chronic sinusitis is usually diagnosed after symptoms have been present for at least 12 weeks. At least two of the following symptoms must be present: facial pain or pressure, nasal obstruction, purulent discharge from the nose, and loss of smell. Furthermore, for chronic sinusitis to be diagnosed, at least one of the patient’s symptoms must be blockage and the other must be discharge. Physical evidence of inflammation must be present in addition to one of the following: nasal polyps, middle meatal edema or purulence, or computed tomographic evidence of paranasal sinus inflammation. As the primary course of treatment, current clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) recommend either an intranasal steroid spray, high-volume saline irrigation, or both of these options (Bergmark & Pynonnen, 2017). It is critical to inform patients that their treatment will most likely take some time and that it may take several weeks for them to feel better after starting the process. Patients who use nasal steroids to treat nasal polyps may notice a reduction in polyp growth. Although antibiotics, oral corticosteroids, and leukotriene modifiers are frequently used to treat chronic sinusitis, the Food and Drug Administration in the United States has not approved their use in this capacity (Bergmark & Pynonnonen, 2017).
