Another excellent post. The environment we’ve created was, perhaps, backwards from a best design. We rolled out access to some of their records and the after-visit summaries, which has been helpful. We didn’t really roll out good education to support the lab results, and this forces patients to the internet to look up information. This is not what we wanted, I’m sure. Perhaps if we had simply rolled out first the after-visit summaries, making appts., sending messages, and some educational links for lab results, disease processes, and so forth, and worked with patients to sign up and maneuver the system, THEN added lab results and other confusing results, we may have done better by the patients. Your thoughts?ed help on the below discussion; I have to respond to this discussion
