Katrina migrated to Australia with her children from the US where she ran a refugee support service. Shortly after arriving in Australia, Katrina became extremely ill. With the support of the community service provider, Katrina receives her qualification. She now works in her community and has started a refugee support service that offers a range of support services to new arrivals. Katrina feels she is actively contributing to her new country and helping integrate refugees into mainstream Australian society.
