Continuous quality improvement (CQI) is a method of systematically implementing evidence-based change. The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) is one of the most used CQI approaches. Students will apply the CQI and PDSA cycle to the identified clinical problem from Assignment 2. 1. Briefly discuss the clinical problem CLABSI and Prevention bundle care. 2. Apply the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process and the PDSA cycle to the clinical problem at the clinical site. 3. Identify why this is a problem at the site (needs assessment) 4. State two potential evidence-based interventions that can be implemented to address the problem in the PDSA cycle. 5.
