For each health service, it gets billed through insurance, when then finally you get a bill from insurance with some of the cost diminished. Employer-based health insurance is purchased by employers for their employees and financed through an employer or joint employer-employee contributions (Wallen, J., & Williams, S. R., 1982). It is where an employee makes prepayments for health insurance each year. The money is funded by the hospital to meet the needs of the service. It is cheaper than individual insurance but the payment each year can increase with hospital advancements. Lastly, government financing was put in place to aid the poor and elderly who are unemployed and retired. Medicare ensures a universal right to health care for persons aged 65 and older and Medicaid health care services to low-income families, the blind, and individuals with disabilities. Coverage was gradually made mandatory for low-income pregnant women and infants, and later for children up to age 18 (Tikkanen, R., et al, 2020).
