She states the cough is worse at night times and wakes her from her sleep. She reports occasionally noticing this cough after she eats. Associated with the cough is chest discomfort which is relieved when she props herself up on several pillows at night. She has noticed that she has become increasingly hoarse over the last few months but associated it with the fact that she is a teacher. She denies any fevers, congestion, shortness of breath, runny nose, or other respiratory symptoms, but reports occasional throat burning. She reports “feeling like my throat is clogged”.
