My topic: topic that I will center my capstone thesis on is the place of women in the scientific community and the ways in which women have been historically underrepresented in that field. My goal is to investigate the various contributions that women have made to the area of science as well as the ways in which these efforts have frequently been ignored. In addition to this, I would like to discuss the challenges that women experience when trying to enter and advance in the scientific field.
