Regarding COVID-19, what’s the rationale for:
31. Workers who may be required to wear a respirator have been fit tested
32. Workers wear appropriate COVID-19 PPE for all tasks where the worker may be within two metres of an unmasked or improperly masked person (eye protection and a surgical or procedure mask)
33. Staff working in hot areas wearing masks have been instructed and reminded to follow measures to prevent overheating (e.g., drinking water, taking breaks)
34. Where possible, screening of clients is done on the phone or virtually before visiting the home
35. All individuals in the home are required to wear a mask during the visit, unless they are not able to wear one because of an accommodation
36. Workers have medical masks available to give to clients if needed
37. We ask our clients to optimize home ventilation where feasible, such as by meeting outdoors if possible, opening a window prior to and during the home visit if safe and weather permits, running exhaust fans that vent outdoors from the bathroom and/or kitchen, etc.
38. We limit the number of different homes visited by each worker where possible to reduce the number of interactions workers have with different individuals
39. Our workers have been trained to select and safely use cleaning products for their work including the use of additional PPE that may be required (such as gloves, protective clothing and/or respiratory protection)
40. We have developed a document with cleaning procedures and schedules
