Damian Green is a 24 year old man who has been brought to the  Emergency Department (ED) you are working in, by ambulance.
Damian told paramedics he has taken an overdose of 42 tablets of paracetamol (500mg each) and a ‘handful’ of oxycodone tablets – the strength of which is unknown.Â
Paramedics state the overdose was taken 4 1/2 hours prior to his arrival in the ED with water.
Paramedics have inserted an intravenous cannula in his right forearm.Â
He has a history of having taken an over dose 2 months previously with the intention of killing himself.Â
In addition to the history above the following vital signs are recorded on his arrival:

Blood Pressure: 123/75mmHg, HR 87bpm
GCS – 9 (E2, V2, M5), Pupils equal and reacting but constricted at 2 mm, BGL 5.9mmol/l
