Task Description: This assessment activity provides the carer with the opportunity to facilitate the rights and interests of their clients.

CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people 

 

Instructions: 

The carer must perform the following tasks in a disability/Ageing support care setting. o The carer must demonstrate evidence to work with diverse people.
The carer is required to have real interactions with the client and their carers/families to  this task.
The carer must provide evidence of working with people from diverse backgrounds in the context of their job role.
The care must recognise and respect the needs of people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds in at least three different situations:
selected and used appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication
recognised situations where misunderstandings may arise from diversity and formed

appropriate responses
