Description

Please note that you have been assigned to a complex health disruption in the Announcements.  Please refer to the Weekly Announcements to verify your assigned topic. Describe the body systems impacted by this health disruption and plan care for a patient with this disorder or injury. This plan of care would be for a patient with an acute stage of this health disruption. The plan must be evidence-based and supported by current scholarly literature. There will be no live patient for this care plan, but the plan should be able to be utilized if needed for a patient impacted by this complex health disorder.

This assignment focuses on:

Instructions for the Evidence-Based Plan of Care (PowerPoint) for a Patient with Complex Health Disruptions

Introduction: Identify the complex health disruption you are planning care for and the body systems affected by this disorder and list clinical manifestations related to the disease process
List and explain the diagnostics or tests related to the disease process.
Identify the top three priority nursing diagnoses you would have for a patient with this complex health disruption in the acute stage. Include the rationale.
Identify and prioritize three nursing interventions which correlate to each nursing diagnosis for this complex health disruption based on current evidence for practice. Discuss your reasons for the priority of these interventions. (Interventions to include collaboration, education, technology, pharmacology, or nutrition)
Discuss tools, resources, or means of implementation of the nursing interventions
Identify the expected outcomes or goals of the interventions you have presented.
Conclusion: Summarize your plan of care by discussing the expected impact of the plan on the patient’s level of health and wellness and the patient’s involvement in the plan of care to ensure patient-centered care.
PowerPoint must include a reference to a minimum of 2 current (within the last 5 years) scholarly resources.
The presentation has a minimum of 5-7 slides not including title and reference slides. The balance between space, words/graphics, and the color is effective.
Slides, speaker notes, and citations, and references consistent with APA 7th edition format. Include at least 2 current scholarly resources.
Rules of grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation are consistent with formal written work.
