Casey Holmes is a 28-year-old male. He presents with a left wrist cellulitis.
Personal/Social History:
Casey lives with his pregnant girlfriend, Jessica Riley, and her son Ryan. He does not
particularly like Ryan and thinks Jessica spoils him. He is very proud of the fact that Jessica is
pregnant with his baby. He is controlling of Jessica and does not want anyone else looking at her.
Casey had a troubled youth. His parents divorced when he was very young, and he
bounced back and forth between parents- both of whom remarried. Growing up, he often saw his
father hit his step-mother when angry. As an adolescent, Casey became involved with a gang and
was arrested a few times for petty crimes, such as shoplifting and vandalism. He never finished
high school and moved out on his own at the age of 18. Since that time, he has held a number of
odd jobs and has made an effort to stay out of trouble.
On most days after work and into the evening, Casey drinks a 24-pack of beer and
smokes marijuana with his buddies. He has been drinking heavily since the age of 16. He is
irritated that Jessica does not party with him as much as she did when they first met. Casey also
uses cocaine and Oxycontin on occasion, when he can afford to buy them.
