1. Summary of national data on hospital acquired conditions (HACs) since 2010. Use the AHRQ information. Include at least one chart from the AHRQ in your summary. You should also provide national data specifically regarding catheter-associated UTIs.
2. Next, provide statistical data and information from the WHA 2020 Quality Report on catheter-associated UTIs. You may choose to include one of the graphs provided in your report as well.
3. Next, provide statistical comparative data from Wisconsin CheckPoint. After clicking on the WI CheckPoint Link, click Compare Hospitals in the orange ribbon near to the top of the screen. Then select Measure Family drop down arrow, then select infections. Then select Submit for the hospital (near the right side, you do not have to put in a hospital name). There should now be a list of all hospitals in WI. Be sure to select “Show Rates” which is located near the top of the list of hospitals. This is written in blue.

Note: If your query does not produce a number/rate, then choose a larger hospital that would have enough data. Be sure to “Display Rates” rather than “Display Stars.” Once you click on the rate, a graph of historical rates/trends for that facility will be displayed along with State trends for the same time period. You will want to save a screen shot or copy/paste this information to include in your report.
4. Compare facility data with national and state rates on Medicare Hospital Compare. Choose your facility by zip code or name. Then choose the Complications tab and locate healthcare associated infections.
