There was two types of managers that caught my attention that I feel like I would be interested in and that is department manager and hospital manager. The department manager intrigued me because I would love to manage a radiology department job. I already work in radiology now so I kind of know the flow of how things go and I really enjoy it so I feel that I would enjoy managing a department like this. The hospital manager intrigued me because I would love to be able to set standards and try to make the hospital I’m over the best it can be everyday. These kind of managers also make a decent amount of money definitely a hospital manager. The George Washington University aka “The school of business” stated “Hospital managers oversee the general administration of hospitals and other provider facilities. Their central goals are to prioritize patient safety, as well as to ensure the financial and operational sustainability of the sites they manage.” Some questions I have to ask about hospital management are one, does being a hospital manager require experience in healthcare management in order to qualify for a job like that? Two, what exactly do the mainly do all day? And three, when they are needing questions about something, who is their boss that they talk to? Here is the link to the job posting https://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Hospital%20Manager%20ceo&l&vjk=9dd23980d0a06453&advn=2622477447813267 (Links to an external site.). Some qualifications for the job is that you have a high school diploma or GED, bachelors or masters degree. You have to have at least 6 years of experience in private practice or outpatient nursing, and you have to be covid vaccinated.
