Discuss the concept of altered standards of care that can occur during a disaster (i.e. mass casualty, natural disaster) or a pandemic situation (i.e. COVID-19, 1918 influenza).  Describe the ethics of the concept in the context of Provision 8.4 of the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. 
Describe and discuss the ethical challenges of working with limited health care resources such as human organs, medications, ventilators, hospital and ICU beds, and health care workers. 
Identify whether you believe a nurse has an ethical duty to come to or stay and work and provide patient care during a disaster or pandemic.  Why or why not?
