Stephen Feury is a 66 y/o client who was transferred to the ward last night from ER. Last evening Mr.
Feury was not able to control his angina pain so he called 911. The ambulance took him to ER where
he was diagnosed with a Myocardial Infarction & hyperlipidemia.
Mr. Feury has a history of IDDM, angina and hypertension. Mr. Feury lives alone but had support from
his daughter Lea and son-in-law Andrew. Lea and Andrew assist Mr.Feury with his home maintenance,
grocery shopping and some light cooking. You’re the nurse assigned to Mr. Feury and you started your
shift at 0700. It is now 0730. Upon entering Mr. Feury’s room, you notice he was rubbing his chest but
he is awake, alert and oriented to name only. Mr. Feury indicates chest pain, pain scale of 8/10 &
dyspnea.
