However, the ancestor is referred to as a wandering ghost if the deceased is not given a proper funeral or burial. In Africa, funerals are often colorful, lively, and elaborate affairs. While the ‘rain dance’ is what is known to transport their souls to the spirit world to speak with the deceased (Krystyna, 2022). One interesting fact I came across is that the San people of Southern Africa are the oldest living humans on Earth.
