Racism is most commonly understood in terms of white people discriminating against African Americans and other people of color. Racism doesn’t stop there. Why do Many African Americans also discriminate against other African Americans, based on the shade of their skin. Why has in American history lighter African Americans been more favored and have better treatment than darker skinned African Americans. Why do lighter African Americans have trouble being accepted from lighter skinned African Americans and Darker Skinned African Americans.
