Mr. O’Connor is a 37-year-old Irish male who has lived in this Florida for the past 13 yrs. He was born in Dublin Ireland & moved to Florida after marrying an American Female at 24y/o. They met in Dublin when his wife spent a semester there as a College Foreign Exchange Student. They have 2 children, both boys ages 8 & 11. His wife is a stay-at-home mom. Mr. O’Connor works in IT at IBM. His job is very stressful. Over the past 4 years most of his department has been downsized. He fears everyday he will lose his job. He works long hours & frequently voices how much he hates his job. Mr. O’Connor & his wife often fight over money & parenting the boys. Mrs. O’Connor is often angry about Mr. O’Connor’s inattention to her & his boys. Mr. O’Connor states they fight all the time. Mrs. O’Connor states he drinks every day & loses his temper. Mr. O’Connor is a voluntary admission today. He states he knows he needs help with his drinking & temper. He states he “loves his family” & admits he is often verbally abusive.
