What can be added further to explanation or discuss to the following? The policy I would enact due to this epidemic would be to notify the whole world of what is happening right away. It will allow us to gather data faster and understand how the transmission started as it will bring people forward who know information or were around the person who had it prior and died from the virus. I believe and feel that being open upfront and stating the truth about what is happening worldwide could have prevented the chaos and reduced the cases of people with this virus. On day 8th, 89,000 people lost their lives because they weren’t fully alert to what was happening to them when they had symptoms. They didn’t isolate or Quarantine themselves because they probably thought it was a common cold. A policy is a strategy or commitment to some type of action plan in the best interests of the general population. It often outlines a course of action that governmental bodies put together to achieve some long-term goal (Bell & Friis, 2019). Sometimes the general population’s best interests cause the governmental personnel to determine the right direction. I believe in cases where we do not understand the cause and effect of an epidemic, we should all be notified immediately to take precautionary measures to protect our loved ones. This was a great movie and very touching to see many health care professionals going above and beyond to help those in need.
