You are a personal care worker employed

You are a personal care worker employed at Lotus Compassionate Care in the residential aged care services department. You are in Paula’s room to bring in her lunch as she said she didn’t feel very well when you saw her this morning. Paula has been quite moody this week as her daughter is away on holiday and hasn’t been able to visit her. Paula is getting quite unsteady on her feet and yesterday stumbled when walking to the dining room. She does not use a walking aid. You notice that Paula is coughing and sneezing. You ask her how she is feeling and she tells you she feels weak, is aching all over and is tired. You feel her forehead and you think she may have a fever. It is flu season so you are concerned that Paula may be suffering from influenza. You have been trained on the seriousness of taking immediate action to prevent an influenza outbreak. Paula has left her book, used tissues and chocolate wrappers on her bedside table. Identify two (2) actions you will take immediately before and upon leaving Paula’s room to help solve the problem of a potential influenza outbreak. To help you with this task, refer to your responsibilities in the Lotus Compassionate Care Infection Control Policy in your assessment documents. Hi Everyone, could I please have some assistance with this, thank you.
